Patient record tabs

A patient's record organized into Overview, Schedule, Notes and Forms.

Tactile editorial artwork for Patient Record Tabs

You open Alex Rivera's record before a visit to check three things: when she is next in, whether last week's chart is finished, and whether her intake form came back. Those answers sit on different tabs, so you jump between them and her name and details stay put.

What stays on screen

The patient's name, avatar, cadence and portal badges, and the Patient details card (contact info, date of birth) sit above and beside every section. Moving between tabs does not reload them. Editing a field on the details card saves that field as soon as you change it, with no save button, and other edits in progress are not affected.

What each tab holds

  • Overview: a Highlights grid (next appointment, care cadence, charting status, forms, a pinned note if one exists, and invoices when invoicing is on) above a chronological Activity feed.
  • Schedule: a mini calendar with Upcoming and Past tabs. Past appointments show their charted session inline, and a cancelled or no-show visit with no chart still appears as a plain row.
  • Notes: freeform notes, with pinned notes at the top.
  • Forms: the forms this patient has submitted.
  • Billing: appears only when invoicing is turned on for your practice.

Highlights jump to the page you need

The Charting card says either All caught up or how many sessions still need notes, and clicking it opens the Past list on Schedule. The Forms card shows how many are outstanding for an upcoming visit, or how many are submitted, and opens the Forms tab. A pinned note previews on the Overview and opens Notes. The activity timeline below it covers visits, messages, billing and more, and the patient details card is where custom fields live.
