A new patient books Tuesday at 4, then doesn't arrive. Now you can decide what a booking asks of them before it is confirmed.
Pay in full to book
Set a default under Settings → Billing → Payment at booking, then override it on a single service, for example to prepay only longer treatments. The patient picks a time, it is held while they pay, and the booking confirms only when the payment goes through. If they back out or the hold runs out, the time is released and the unpaid invoice is voided.
A package session or account credit
A patient with a package that covers the service can spend one session instead of paying by card, and it is returned if they leave before confirming. Account credit, from a voided paid invoice or a cancelled visit you held as credit, can pay too. You can also apply credit from a patient's Billing tab, or turn on Apply account credit automatically so new invoices use it.
Or just leave a card
A service can ask only for a card on file. Nothing is charged. The patient ticks two consents, both unticked until they choose: that you may charge the card without them present, and that it may be charged a no-show fee. A patient with a saved card that has that consent books straight away. Goji never charges the card on its own.
Buy a package from the portal
Turn on Patients can buy packages online under Settings → Billing → Packages, and linked patients see your packages with a Buy button. Sessions are added when the payment goes through, not when they click Buy.
Cancelling a paid visit
Turn on Patients can cancel online under Settings → Scheduling and a linked patient sees a Cancel this visit button, offered only outside your late-change window. What happens to what they paid is shown before they confirm: a package session returns, a card payment is refunded, and money paid another way is kept as credit.
When staff cancel a visit that was paid for, Goji asks what happens to the money or session: refund to the card, keep the payment, or hold it as credit, and return or keep a package session. The choice highlighted follows your notice window, and both are always one click away.
