Signature block

Choose whether a superbill prints a signature line, or each provider's signature.

Tactile editorial artwork for Superbill Signature

A plan administrator opens a patient's superbill and wants to know it came from a clinic, not from the patient's word processor. Some ask for a signature for exactly that reason. Others never look. Goji prints one only if you have said you want it, so a practice that doesn't need it doesn't get an empty box at the bottom of every document.

Off, a blank line, or an uploaded signature.

Three choices

The setting is Superbill signature, under the Billing tab in Settings. It appears once the superbill export is turned on, and a change saves as soon as you pick it.

  • No signature block: the default. Nothing prints at the bottom.
  • Blank line to sign: a ruled line labelled Provider signature, with the provider's name and credentials under it and a Date line beside it. You sign by hand before handing the document over.
  • Auto-fill the provider's signature: the same block, with the rendering provider's uploaded signature sitting on the line.

Uploading a signature

Choosing the auto-fill option adds a signature upload to each provider's row under Providers on the same tab. A signature belongs to a person, so each provider uploads their own, and one practitioner's is never applied to another's superbill. The file is a PNG or JPG under 100KB, and a transparent PNG works best. A provider who hasn't uploaded one still gets the blank line, so the document is never left without somewhere to sign.

The signature image is not frozen into saved superbill snapshots. Downloading an older export again uses the signature you have today.

Try it in your own practice.
