Trash & recovery

Every delete is reversible — nothing is purged automatically.

How deletion works

Deleting a patient, session, note, protocol, or form never erases it immediately — it moves the item to Trash, in the sidebar. Nothing is purged automatically.

Note

This is deliberate: real clinical documentation shouldn't be destroyed by an accidental click. If you need something permanently removed, that's outside what the app does today.

Restoring an item

Open Trash to see everything currently deleted across your organization, grouped by type. Restore any item to bring it back exactly as it was.

Deleting a patient also removes their sessions and notes from view — trash only lists the patient itself in that case, not each child item separately, since restoring the patient brings everything back with it.

What doesn't appear in trash

Form submissions aren't deletable the same way — dismissing a submission (see Reviewing submissions) just marks it handled rather than moving it to trash.
