Some rooms are yours, not the public's. A home office where you see a few long-standing patients, a second site you only staff-book: neither should turn up when a stranger picks a location on your booking page.
Where the switch is
Every location in your scheduling settings has an Open to public booking switch. Turn it off and that location drops off the public booking page, along with any service that is offered only there. It is on by default for a new location, and the change saves as you flip it.
What it does and doesn't change
- Staff can still book into the location from the Calendar. The switch only governs the public page and the patient portal's booking, which share the same list of bookable locations.
- Closed means closed everywhere online: a visitor who already has a link to that location, or its service and location ids, finds no times and can't hold one.
- Nothing else is touched. The location keeps its hours, providers and services, so turning the switch back on brings it back as it was.
- Each location also has its own filtered booking link. With the switch off, that link shows Facility closed instead of times, and if public booking is paused for the whole practice it shows Public booking paused.
The switch decides whether a location is listed at all. Online booking explains the rest of what a location needs before it shows up (hours, a bookable provider, a service that is offered there), and Put booking on your website honors it too.
