Even before software, you need a clean superbill. This builder makes one template you keep and reuse, so on each visit you add only what changes: the patient, the date, the diagnosis codes, the units and the amount paid.
Three steps
Your details covers the practice (name, billing address, phone, optional Tax ID) and the provider (name, credentials, NPI, state license number and place of service). Codes and fees starts from one of three presets, then lets you add or remove codes and enter a fee for each. A blank fee prints as a line to fill in by hand. Finish and print adds an optional signature line and a note at the bottom, such as your payment methods.
A live preview updates as you type. Print or save it as a PDF from the browser's print dialog.
The codes it offers
- Acupuncture only: the needling codes 97810 to 97814, plus infrared and manual-therapy add-ons.
- Acupuncture and consultations: adds 99203, 99213 and 99214.
- Acupuncture and herbal practice: adds those consultation codes, adult preventive visits 99395 to 99397 and a line for herbal formulas (A9150). Preventive visits and herbs print marked patient responsibility.
A checkbox turns on modifier GP for physical-medicine codes; it is off by default because Medicare and VA payers ask for it and it is a payer question, not an acupuncture rule. The page also notes that a same-day consultation usually needs modifier 25 (see the CPT quick reference). Cupping and moxibustion are not on the sheet because neither has a CPT code of its own.
Saved in your browser
Your practice and provider details save on your device as you type, and nothing is sent to Goji. The catch is that clearing site data or opening the page on another computer starts you from a blank template, so Download backup and Restore backup are there, and a Start over link clears it. The guide suggests reviewing the template whenever an address, license, NPI or fee changes, and at least once a year.
In Goji the same code catalog and presets sit under Settings, Billing, and each visit's superbill is filled from the chart and the invoice. Goji never submits a claim; the document goes to the patient. For diagnosis codes see the ICD-10 list, and for what patients do next see the patient guide.
