ICD-10 code list

The ICD-10-CM codes commonly used on acupuncture superbills, to tick, print, copy or download.

You use the same dozen codes again and again. This is a short, ready list of them, so you are not looking up M54.50 every visit, and a superbill never leaves without the diagnosis a plan asks for.

What is on the list

51 ICD-10-CM codes in nine groups: spine and back; joints and limbs; muscle and general pain; head; sleep, mood, stress and energy; digestive; respiratory and allergy; reproductive and menstrual; and neurological. It favors general variants over site-specific ones, though shoulder and similar codes keep their right and left versions. Every code starts ticked, and a search box narrows what you see.

Tick, then print, copy or download

Untick what you never use, or clear all, or tick and clear a whole group at once. Print or save as PDF, Copy codes (tab-separated, so it pastes into a spreadsheet as two columns) and Download CSV (group, code, description) all use only what is ticked. If your browser blocks copying, the page points you to the CSV instead.

Limits worth knowing

  • It is a starter list, not a complete one. ICD-10-CM has thousands of codes and is revised every October.
  • The codes were spot-checked against the public CMS tables, not reviewed by a professional coder, and payers differ.
  • Diagnosis is a clinical judgment: choose the code that matches what you recorded, and use the unspecified code rather than guessing laterality.

The same list is the default every Goji practice starts with. Under Settings, Billing you can remove codes and add your own, and a visit's superbill then offers the codes you kept. To pair it with procedure codes see the CPT quick reference, and to print the codes on your own sheet see the superbill template builder.

Tick what you use.

Try it in your own practice.
