Sometimes you need a list of just these patients: everyone who came in through one referral source, or the handful you are about to mail. Tick them in the Patients table and export only those rows, instead of exporting the whole practice and trimming the spreadsheet.
Selecting patients
Tick the checkbox beside a patient, or the checkbox in the header row to select everyone on the current page. As soon as one is ticked, a bar appears showing how many are selected, with Export selected as CSV and a Clear button that unticks everyone. Filter and sort first to land on the right patients, then select; saved views are a quick way to get back to a filter you use often.
What the file contains
- The file downloads as patients-selected.csv, with the patients in last-name, first-name order.
- It has the same columns as the full export in Settings: name, preferred name, date of birth, email, phones, addresses, preferred contact method, cadence, start date and when the record was created.
- Each patient field is its own column, headed the way the importer expects, so the file can go back in through import.
- Only patients in your practice are exported, and deleted patients are left out.
The button reads Exporting while the file is built, and if the export fails the reason shows next to it so you can try again.
