Progress saves on the device

A patient can close the form and pick up where they left off.

A phone call comes in halfway through the form, or the phone goes to sleep and the page reloads. The answers are still there.

Answers are kept; the button says Resume.

What is saved, and where

Every change to an answer is written to the browser's local storage on the patient's own device, under a key for that one form. Nothing is sent to Goji until they submit. When they come back to the link, the saved answers are filled in, and the welcome screen's Start button reads Resume instead.

The current screen number lives in the page address. Reopening that exact address, for example from the browser's history or a restored tab, returns to the same screen. Opening the bare link starts at the welcome screen and goes back through the screens with the answers already filled in.

Limits and what clears it

  • It stays on one browser on one device. Opening the link on a different phone or in a private window starts empty.
  • A typed signature name and the drawn signature are not part of the saved draft, so a form that requires a signature asks for it again.
  • On a successful submit the draft is deleted. Reopening the same link on that device then shows You've already submitted this form, with a Submit another response button.
  • If the browser blocks storage, the form still works for the visit; it just can't survive a reload.

Try it in your own practice.
