Patient portal
Appointments, without the phone call.
In a solo practice, the front desk is you — usually with a patient on the table. An invite-only calendar view gives patients their upcoming and recent appointments and arrival details on their own, so the question that interrupts you the most stops needing you at all. Optional, off until you turn it on, and clinical records stay staff-only.
Staff-approved, not open self-linking
Staff-approved patient portal invites, not open self-signup.
A staff-generated invite link from the patient's own page grants access — short-lived and tied to one email address, so accepting it requires signing in (or up) with the matching email before it links to that patient record.
Read-only calendar, on purpose
A read-only appointment calendar: upcoming visits and arrival details, nothing clinical.
The portal launches with exactly what a patient actually needs before a visit: their appointment list and arrival details. Session notes, charts, and other clinical records are explicitly denied to a patient-portal account, regardless of what else it can see.
One account, every practice
One patient login across multiple practices, kept separate.
A single sign-in can be linked to a patient record at more than one organization — say, family members seeing different providers — with each practice's calendar kept in its own space so they never feel merged together.
Frequently asked questions
Can patients see their clinical notes in the portal?
No. Session notes, charts, and other clinical records are explicitly denied to a patient-portal account, regardless of what else it can see — the portal is built to launch with appointment and arrival information only.
How does a patient get access to the portal?
Through a staff-generated invite from the patient's own page — short-lived and tied to one email address, so accepting it requires signing in with the matching email before it links to that patient's record. Patients can't create their own portal access unprompted.
Can patients book or reschedule appointments through the portal?
The portal's core, always-on surface is a read-only calendar — upcoming and recent appointments plus arrival details. Self-service booking through the portal is something a practice can enable as part of its online-booking setup, separate from turning the portal itself on.
Is the patient portal required to fill out an intake form or book online?
No. It's a separate, optional feature — patients can complete forms and use the public booking link without ever creating a portal account.
Can one patient login work across more than one practice?
Yes. A single sign-in can be linked to patient records at more than one organization — for family members seeing different providers, for example — with each practice's calendar kept in its own space rather than merged together.
