You are between patients with only your phone, and a new one texts to ask about Thursday. A side rail has no room to sit next to the schedule at that size, so the Calendar is rearranged for it rather than squeezed.
Month first, then a day
Below 768 pixels wide, the Calendar opens on Month instead of Day. Each date shows its appointment count and is shaded by how busy it is. Tap a date and you land in that day's Day view. While you are in Day, Few Days or Week, a small calendar icon appears left of the ‹ and › arrows, and one tap takes you back to Month.
This only happens when you open the Calendar without a view in the address. A link or bookmark that already asks for Day or Week opens there, and if you switch away from Month yourself it stays where you put it. The view menu is still in the toolbar, so you can pick Day, Few Days, Week or Month any time. Few Days shows at least two columns on a narrow screen.
The bottom bar and the Filters sheet
The rail that holds the mini calendar and the filters is hidden at this width. A bar fixed to the bottom of the screen replaces it, with two buttons.
- Today moves to today's date and keeps the view you are in.
- Filters slides up a sheet with the mini calendar and every filter group the rail has: Status, Charting, Billing when invoicing is on, and the facility and provider checklists when you have more than one. Close it with the X, Escape or a tap on the dimmed area behind it.
Booking from your phone
Dragging across the grid works with a mouse or trackpad only, because a finger drag would fight scrolling. On a phone, tap + New appointment, or open the ⋮ menu for Take time off (time off) or Copy booking link. Tapping an appointment opens the same details and actions as on a computer, including Reschedule.
